About this archive

This website is a permanent, unchanging copy of the Eamer | Gade | Inglis family history. It was preserved as a fixed set of pages so the family’s story remains freely available for generations to come — independent of any subscription, hosting service, or software that might one day disappear.

When the research dates from

The genealogy was compiled chiefly between 2007 and 2009, with occasional additions over the following decade and a last period of activity around 2019–2021. It was captured in this fixed form in 2026 and is no longer being added to or corrected.

About “living” people

When the research was gathered, some people recorded here were still living. That status reflects information which is now, in most cases, fifteen to twenty years old. Out of respect for privacy, individuals who were living at that time are not listed in the site’s search and are kept out of search-engine indexes, though their pages remain part of the record.

In time, of course, everyone named here becomes part of history. Wherever this site distinguishes “living” from “deceased”, and wherever an age or a “living” note appears, it should be read as a statement about 2007–2009 — not about the present day.

Also on Ancestry

The same family tree has been deposited on Ancestry, where it is published as a public member tree named EamerGadeInglis, centred on Jack Eamer (1910–1977). It holds the same families as this archive, and a number of people there have photographs attached.

That tree is deliberately set public, so reading it needs no one’s permission and no introduction from anybody: any Ancestry member may open it directly as tree 176377489, or find it by searching Public Member Trees for the tree name above. Ancestry is a members’ site, though, so — unlike this archive — it cannot be read without signing in.

If this archive outlives its custodian

This website is one copy of the family history, not the only one. It has been lodged, on purpose, in four places that do not depend on any single person, subscription or domain name remaining in place — two of them institutions whose stated purpose is to outlast those who contribute to them:

• The National Library of Australia has harvested this whole site into the Australian Web Archive, where it is catalogued as Our Family History : Eamer Gade Inglis and kept under legal deposit. Its permanent address is nla.gov.au/nla.arc-173503. That copy is free to read, asks for no account, and is intended to remain readable through the Library’s Trove service even if this website itself should one day fall silent.
• Software Heritage, a non-profit archive supported by UNESCO whose purpose is to preserve the world’s published source code, holds a complete copy of this archive’s repository, taken on 28 September 2026. It may be read at archive.softwareheritage.org, and from it the entire website can be rebuilt.
• The complete source of these pages — every page, photograph and document — is published openly at github.com/griadooss/eamergadeinglis, where anyone may read the archive, download it entire, and publish it again elsewhere.
• The family tree itself stands as a public tree on Ancestry, as described above.

So if you have come to this page long after it was written, and the address below no longer answers, begin with the National Library’s copy. Of the four, it and Software Heritage are the two built to outlast the rest.

Custodian

This archive is preserved and cared for by John G Eamer. The complete underlying research is held privately by the custodian.

There is no successor. Nobody has been appointed to take this archive on, and it needs nobody: that is exactly why it was lodged with the National Library and published openly, rather than left to depend on someone remembering it. This website will go quiet in its own time, and the copies listed above will carry on without it.

Until then, correspondence is warmly welcome at contact@eamergadeinglis.net — if you share ancestry with these families, or have a correction or a question. The address belongs to the archive rather than to any one person, and one day it will simply go unanswered. The four copies listed above are meant to need no reply.
